Show us a photo of something that's gone now.
My mother's been gone for 3 years, 5 months, and 5 days. I asked Troy's cousin's wife who lost her dad when she was 15, when she started to get used to not having her dad around. She said once she'd lived longer without her dad than she did with him, it got easier. I guess that means I won't get used to not having my mother around until another 26 years. If ever.

I took care of my nephew when he was a wee little baby, back when I was in Indonesia. I'd dance to songs by the Magnetic Fields while rocking him in my arms. Left him to Canada when he was 2 years old. I haven't seen him again since, though we talk over the phone every now and then. I don't know when I'll see him next. Indonesia is so far, far away. It would cost a fortune to get there from Canada. Unfortunately, we don't currently have that kind of fortune. I guess I'll just have to wait, eh?
